I'm off to a birthday party for some kid in the cooking program. Or, should I say -- I'm off to a party to watch my students get undeniably drunk, then all snicker the next time they see me, as if I were the one spilling wine over my pants.A lot of the students here, even the oldest ones studying cuisine, live here during the week, then return to their hometown on the weekend. Tomorrow, I am going home with a girl, so spend the weekend in her little town in the Jura mountains. I'm crossing my fingers that the snow is good enough for cross-country skiing. Also, I'm praying that I can speak to her family somewhat competently.
